The following is provided for your information:

DHX–Dependable Hawaiian Express Labor Day Holiday Cut-Offs

⮚      Out of Southern California – The cutoff for Hawaii non-hazardous freight to sail Wednesday, September 4, will be Tuesday, September 3, by 5:00 pm PST. We will not be sailing hazardous freight for Hawaii on Wednesday, September 4. The hazardous freight received on Friday, August 30, and Tuesday, September 3, by 5:00 pm PST will sail on Saturday, September 7. The cutoff for Guam non-hazardous freight will be Friday, August 30, by 5:00 pm PST, and the cutoff for Guam hazardous freight will be Thursday, August 29, by 5:00 pm PST for sail Wednesday, September 4.

⮚      Out of Northern California – The cutoff for the Hawaii and Guam for hazardous and non-hazardous will be Thursday, August 29, by 3:00 pm PST for sail Tuesday, September 2. The cutoff for hazardous freight must be dropped off by 3:00 pm PST on Tuesday, September 2, and non-hazardous freight must be dropped off by 3:00 pm PST on Tuesday, September 2, for sail on Wednesday, September 3.

⮚      Out of Seattle – There will be no disruption to our regular cutoff schedule.

Labor Day Terminals Closure

All DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express terminals will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024, in observance of Labor Day.

Labor Day Holiday Port Schedule and Gate Hours

All Ocean Carrier terminals will be closed on the U.S. Mainland and in Hawaii and Guam on Monday, September 2, 2024.

Fuel-Related Surcharge Increase – Hawaii / Guam / Micronesia

As a reminder, we received advisement that the Hawaii and Guam Ocean Carriers have increased their FRSC effective Sunday, September 1, 2024, due to increased fuel-related costs. The surcharge for Hawaii service will increase from 22.0% to 23.5%, and for Guam/CNMI and Micronesia, it will increase from 23.0% to 24.5%.

For customers who have not yet transitioned to the tariff restructuring, the surcharge for Hawaii service will increase from 44% to 45.7%, and for Guam/Micronesia, it will increase from 46% to 47.8%.

Island Service Rate Increases Effective September 2024

Due to continued increases in business operations and overall cost, most of our island service rates in Maui and Kona have increased, effective for shipments sailing on and after September 1, 2024.

Maui     Westbound cube delivery rates, including will-call    7%

Westbound spot delivery rates will remain unchanged

Local trucking and delivery accessorial rates            6%

*warehousing and storage rates will remain unchanged*

Kona     All related delivery and accessorial rates                  5%

*will call rates will remain unchanged*
