Dear Valued Customer:

Due to a significant lack of labor at all Southern California terminals, Matson anticipates very low productivity and serious congestion today. This labor shortage began with the night shift yesterday and has continued into today’s daytime activity. 

Matson will be able to receive westbound loads but will be unable to dispatch or receive empty containers. We expect slow processing at their terminal C60 gate. 

The above information is specific to today’s day shift, which is from 08:00 to 17:00. It is currently unclear when labor will be made available, but we will update you as information becomes available to us.

Matson’s westbound departure of Matsonia 41W, which has a scheduled departure of 0400 tomorrow Saturday, April 8, is likely to be delayed in order to accommodate as much cargo as possible. At this time, there has been no similar labor disruption at either Oakland or Tacoma.
